Article 8 (Provision to Third Parties in Foreign Countries, etc.)
- The Company stores the Service's data in the cloud service provided by Amazon Web Services Japan G.K. (Amazon Web Services, "AWS"). The creation of Voice Models and voice synthesis, and the generation of AI Clone replies and speech recognition, are outsourced to and processed by outside AI businesses.
| Processing | Country where the business is located | Country where data is processed and stored |
|---|---|---|
| Data storage (AWS) | Japan (parent company: Amazon Web Services, Inc., USA) | Japan (Tokyo region) |
| Creating Voice Models, voice synthesis | USA | USA (some processing may take place in the Netherlands or Singapore) |
| Generating AI Clone replies, speech recognition | USA and others | USA and others |
- Storage on AWS is used under contract terms under which AWS does not handle the content of the stored data, and is managed as part of the Company's own security control measures (Article 11).
- AI processing is carried out after a system has been established, by contract with the subcontractors, to take measures equivalent to those required by the APPI on a continuing basis. The Company periodically checks how the subcontractors are implementing those measures and, on request, provides Creators and Principals with information about them.
- Where a foreign financial institution or remittance service is chosen as the payout destination, the name of the business, its country and that country's personal information protection system are shown on LC Studio's payout method selection screen, and the information is provided after consent has been obtained.
- The United States has no comprehensive federal law equivalent to Japan's APPI; personal information is protected by state laws and sector-specific laws. The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies in the Netherlands, and the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) applies in Singapore. Each country's system can be checked in the Personal Information Protection Commission's survey of personal information protection systems in foreign countries.
- My Number is not provided to third parties in foreign countries.
Article 9 (External Transmission)
LC Studio currently contains no tools that send information from Creators' devices to outside businesses for usage analysis or advertising. - Voice Materials, Voice Models, other Materials, and the persona and other AI Clone settings are deleted from the Company and its subcontractors within 30 days of the end of the contract. Copies remaining in subcontractors' backups are erased within a further 30 days under the subcontractors' own rules. However, records required by law or needed to deal with disputes are retained for as long as needed for that purpose.
- Registration information, records of consents and confirmations, identity verification information and records of viewing Follower Information are retained for one year after the end of the contract and then deleted. While retained, they are used only to investigate trouble and to comply with laws.
- Records of Earnings, payments and the clone creation fee are retained for the period required by law.
- My Number is deleted and disposed of promptly after the period necessary for tax procedures has passed, in accordance with the My Number Act.
- The history of exchanges between the AI Clone and Followers (including the generation history remaining with the voice synthesis subcontractor) is handled in accordance with the Fan App's privacy policy.
